Ajay Govind recently created three show reels and an outreach film for Sesame Workshop India. These films beautifully capture the ingenuity and energy of our flagship program Galli Galli Sim Sim and the impact of our outreach work. One of the show reels is designed to be a part of a presentation at the upcoming TEDIndia conference and promises to add value to our presence at this prestigious event.

During our association of more than two years, Ajay has consistently delivered high-quality products, and we look forward to doing more work with him in the future.

Making a film in Kashmir about the conditions in orphanages in the State is not an easy subject. Ajay Govind’s treatment of a sensitive subject set in a fragile environment was humane. He captured the problem well and highlighted the community-based measures that provide the solution to the question of care of children orphaned by the conflict.

“We have had the pleasure of working with Ajay Govind as he made two films which were part of a school based intervention of the University School Resource Network (USRN), JNU. …

I found that Ajay Govind brought with him both the expertise that we were looking for from a film maker as well as sensitivity towards children largely from the urban poor context, who were students in the schools we were intervening in. He was able to make the children comfortable and their responses spontaneous. … The film he has been deeply appreciated by student teachers, educators and researchers whom we have been working with. We plan to make this film available to a wide range of people and teacher education institutions.”
